The Brothel Wins Chicago Snubfest and Debuts at the Chicago Improv Festival
They proved that they're festival-worthy and then
some! Thanks to the judges of the Last Snob Standing
Contest at Snubfest, they had a primetime slot at the
Chicago Improv Festival. Considered the funniest week in Chicago,
the festival featured cast members from SNL and Mad
TV.

"There was a time when the term 'female comedian' was considered something of an oxymoron. To get a laugh, women usually had to mock their gender: Female comics all seemed to draw their acts from a collective pool of jokes about children, insensitive men, menstrual cycles, and the endless differences between the sexes. Split Ends is a comedy night that promises to prove once again that female comics can be funny on their own merits. With stand-up from Ophira Eisenberg and the sly and clever Jessi Klein, as well as sketches penned by The Brothel and MEAT, this shouldn't be called an 'all female show,' just a good one."
